1. Chassis & Running Gear

These checks ensure the caravan is safe on the road:

• Brake inspection and adjustment

• Condition of brake cables and rod systems

• Wheel bearings inspection or replacement (depending on type)

• Tyre condition, age, pressure, and torque check

• Axle/Suspension checks

• Hitch head, stabiliser, and coupling system inspection

• Breakaway cable condition

• Corner steadies lubrication

• Jockey wheel inspection

• Road lights and electrics testing (including 12N/12S or 13-pin sockets)

2. Habitation Area Checks

Ensures the inside of the caravan is safe, watertight, and fully functional:

• Internal electrical system testing

• Appliances tested (fridge, heater, water heater, cooker, etc.)

• Water system inspection (pumps, taps, pipes)

• Waste system checks

• Furniture, cupboards, and doors operation

• Habitation door and window seals

• Blinds, flyscreens, and rooflights

• Fire safety equipment check (smoke alarm, CO detector, fire extinguisher if fitted)

3. Gas System Checks

A vital part of the servicing process:

• Gas pressure and leak test

• Gas regulator inspection

• Gas hose age and condition check

• Operation of all gas appliances (hob, oven, fridge, heater)

• Ventilation check

• Ambient Co Test and Flue testing where applicable

4. Water System

Prevents leaks and contamination:

• Check for water leaks

• Water pump operation

• Condition of pipes and connections

• Toilet system check (flush, seals, valves)

5. Electrical System

Covers both 12V and 230V systems:

• Battery condition and charging check

• Consumer unit and RCD test

• 12V lighting and circuits

• 230V plug sockets

• Operation of control panels

• Solar panel function (if fitted)

6. Damp Inspection

One of the most important elements:

• Moisture readings taken across the caravan

• Identification of potential water ingress

• Damp report provided 

7. Exterior Bodywork & Structure

Ensures the caravan remains structurally sound:

• Bodywork inspection for cracks or damage

• Seals and joints inspection

• Roof checks

• Awning rail inspection

• Underbody condition

• Windows and vents

8. Additional Checks (Where Applicable/Requested)

• Motor mover inspection
